Power

Would you like to have the power of God work in every area of your life?  You can...if you can do one thing.  Believe the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.  When you believe the Gospel, one thing is certain...you will have the power of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob working in your life and you will see results.

Jesus said "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.   He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;  but he that believeth not shall be damned.  And these signs shall follow them that believe;  In my name shall they cast out devils;  they shall speak with new tongues;  They shall take up serpents;  and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;  they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."  Mark 16:15-18.

If you are still interested look at Romans 1:16-17.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:  for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;  to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.   For therein (in the gospel) is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:  as it is written, The just shall live by faith."

If you consider yourself to be a Christian, ask yourself this question:  Is this power working in every area of my life?  If you struggle with things in your life it may be that you are not believing ...the Gospel.   The word "believe" means to rely on, trust in and adhere to.  Rely on, trust in, adhere to what?  The Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.  It will require humility on your part to even admit that, for whatever reason, your situation could be better.

Be honest with yourself.  By being honest with yourself you can then be honest with God.  After all, He is really the only one who can change your life and best of all, He wants to do that right now.   God will change your life if you ask.  That change will occur as something known as "repentance" takes place in your life.  "Repentance" means literally to turn from what you have been doing (which is not believing) to doing what God wants you to do.  Need confirmation for that?  Look at Romans 2:4;   "Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering;  not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?"

Finally, Paul wrote this to Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:7;  "Consider what I say;  and the Lord give thee understanding in all things."  He is the only one who can.  God bless you.
